William Rowe

William R. Rowe, 82, of Rockford, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, in Presence Saint Anne Center. Born June 30, 1934, in Rockford, the son of Ralph and Mary Ita (Markham) Rowe. Married Carolyn Roettger on Nov. 21, 1982, in Pecatonica. Longtime employee of Smith Oil Co. Formerly employed by Park Tire, Zimmerman Automotive in Freeport and a Ranger at Atwood Golf Course. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Survivors include wife, Carolyn; children, William M. (Fonda) Rowe, Connie (Dan) McDonald, Debbie (Don) Silva, and Mark (Julie) Rowe; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph “Bud” (Marianne) Rowe; sisters, Julianne (Ron) Lentz and Rita K. Watling; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Michael and grandson, Jeremy Glenn.

Memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation one hour prior to service time
