William “Bill” Z. Gindhart, Jr., 74, of Roscoe passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022. Born January 13, 1947, in Swedesboro, NJ, the son of William Z. and Marie (Miller) Gindhart, Sr. Bill loved his country and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Married Sandra L. Falconero on August 9, 1969, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Employed as a salesman for many manufacturing companies. Member of Crosspoint Church, Roscoe VFW, and Beloit Rifle Club. Avid member of the NRA. He was a vital part of the Harlem Roscoe Fire Department as an inspector and volunteer. Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, trips to Africa, and watching the Green Bay Packers with his daughters. Survivors include his adoring wife, Sandi; daughters, Heather (Brian) Dellamater of Rockton/Kenya, Africa, and Lisa (Duane) Flowers of South Beloit; grandchildren, Noah (Melissa) Dellamater, Bailey Gindhart, Issac Dellamater, and Charleigh Dellamater; sister, Carol Gindhart of New Jersey; brother, Isaac (Jeanie) Gindhart of New Jersey; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and brother, Robert Gindhart. The family wishes to thank Crosspoint Church, Harlem Roscoe Fire Department, Rockford VA, Roscoe VFW, and all his fellow vets.
Service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
