William Beck

William E. Beck, 87, of Loves Park passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born July 27, 1930, in Rockford, the son of Edward and Ida (Pierson) Beck.  Veteran of Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Married Beverly Nordmoe on December 27, 1950, in Loves Park.  Owned and operated Bill Beck Oil Company for 37 years, retiring in 1995.  Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Harlemite and Korean War Veterans Association.  Played the accordion and sang with the YMCA choir and band.  Volunteered with Northern Illinois Hospice.  Active in the Senior Follies.  Survivors include his wife, Beverly; children, Steve (Vicki) Beck, James Beck, Denise Beck, Daniel (Lisa) Beck and Kris (Todd) Doyle; grandchildren, Jeremy (Mechelle) Beck, Jennifer Stitt, Janelle Ciaccio, Gina Ciaccio, Jessica Ciaccio, Tyler Beck, Nicolas Beck, Maddy Beck, Kayla Fertitta, McKenah Fertitta, Chase Beck, Haden Beck and Mason Beck; great-grandchildren, Skye Gomez-Ciaccio, Sienna Ciaccio, Vanessa Beck, Ashlee Beck, Jordan Beck, Sarah Stitt, Michael Stitt and Harlow Helm; great-great-grandchildren, Harper Smice, Haven Marks and Savanah Marks; brother, Eugene Beck; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents and sister, Gloria Larson.

Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 13, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Services are private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Vets Roll, 1777 Gardner Street, South Beloit, IL 61080.
