Willard "Bill" Mccarty

Willard “Bill” B. McCarty, 78, of Loves Park, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016. Born March 1, 1937, on the farm, in Harlem Village, the son of Lawrence and Fannie (Crull) McCarty. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1956. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Married Colleen Rudolph. Owned and operated McCarty Heating and Cooling for over 30 years. Loyal Cubs, Bears and Bulls fan. Avid fisherman. Bill loved his trips to Canada to catch the “Big One”. Survivors include his wife, Colleen; daughter, Diane (Rich) Bainter; son, Steven (Tina) McCarty; grandchildren, Derek and Lucas Bainter and Hunter McCarty; siblings, Janis Compton, Dr. David (Christine) McCarty, Nancy (Nick) Fiore, Corrinne (Jerry) Norris, Chuck (Kathy) McCarty, Maurice (Linda) McCarty, Joan McCarty, Linda Robertson and Ellen (Brad) Carlson; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Marwin McCarty.

Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 30, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 29, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
