Virginia E. Manning, 81, of Rockford passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born Monday, April 10, 1939, in Rockford, the daughter of Fay and Helene (Pegau) Tuttle. Married Joe Manning and they enjoyed 21 years together before his passing. Employed by GROW of Illinois as a mental health counselor. Active member of Riverside Community Church, where she had many friends. Virginia was loving and compassionate and always took care of those around her. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends that became family. Survivors include her son, Jon Huffman; daughter, Chris (Joey Stickley) Huffman; stepsons, Charlie Manning and Michael Manning; granddaughter, Samantha (Chris) King; brother, Charles (Yvonne) Tuttle; special niece, Courtenai (Sean) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved; and many special friends who became part of the family. Predeceased by her husband, Joe; mother, Helene; father, Fay; and stepfather, Robert Lundberg.

Graveside service at 1 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2020, in Arlington Memorial Park, 6202 Charles Street, Rockford. Walk through visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Face coverings and social distancing required. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
