Virginia “Ginny” Hage

Virginia “Ginny” A. Hage, 94, of Belvidere passed away peacefully Friday, July 31, 2020, in Rockford. Born December 25, 1925, in Rochelle, the daughter of Arthur and Esther M. (Johnson) Peterson. Married Kenneth Hage. Employed by GTE for many years. Former member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with family, animals, and babies. Survivors include her son, Kenneth “Jerry” (Margaret) Hage of Texas; twin daughters, Karen (Bruce) Woodard of Tennessee and Kathryn “Katie” Stensrud of Kentucky; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger, Norman and Ralph Peterson; sisters, Kathryn Peterson, Vivian Reinger and Alice Lewis; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; and great-granddaughter, Jennifer. Special thanks to Amberwood Care Center, Heartland Hospice and Rockford Supportive Living for their loving care.
