Verdie I. Wright-Matousek, 89, of Loves Park, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016. Born February 22, 1927, in Jesup, GA, the daughter of Bennie and Martha (Murray) Landon. Married Nelson Hundley; Harold Wright; and lastly Richard Matousek who predeceased her. Verdie loved flowers, collecting figurines and watching pro-wrestling. Survivors include her son, Barry Wright of Loves Park; daughter, Karen McKibben of Omaha, NE; daughter-in-law, Ruth Hundley of O’Fallon; and numerous grandchildren. Predeceased by 3 sons and 2 sisters.

Service at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 15, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
