Thomas Cagle, Sr.

Thomas J. Cagle, Sr., 86, of Loves Park passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, in his home. Born August 13, 1932, in Randolph County, Arkansas, the son of Arlie and Cordelia (Tiner) Cagle. Married Lois A. Wentzell on October 2, 1965, in Rockford. Retired from Hydro-Line Manufacturing. He was a mounted officer with the Winnebago County Sheriff Auxiliary. Survivors include sons, Thomas J. (Kathy) Cagle, Jr., James A. Cagle and Kevin W. Cagle; daughter, Lori (Jeff) Granath; grandchildren, Tanya, Troy, Taylor, Kelly, K.C., Colton, Caitlyn, Emily, Paige and Brett; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Arlene Mosier, Marie Dawson and Janie Dunn; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Lois on March 19, 2001, daughter in law, Sheila Cagle and sister, Beatrice.

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 21, in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
