Thomas “Tom” Patrick Sicotte, 58, of Machesney Park passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born April 8, 1963, in Rockford, the son of George and Jean (Myers) Sicotte. Married Chris Goodman in January of 1985. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading fishing magazines. He also took pride in his yard, garden, and flower beds. People would drive by and stop to tell him it looked like something from a magazine. Tom was a loving son, taking wonderful care of his 100-year-old mother. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In his younger years, Tom loved riding his Harley and enjoyed having fish fries with friends after a long day of fishing. Everyone who knew Tom loved him and his wild, rough around the edge’s personality. You would never see Tom without his White Birch toothpick in his mouth. He had so many stories to tell and always had everyone laughing till they had tears rolling down their cheeks. His toothpick having smile, squinted eyes, and southern twang will forever be missed. He left us far too soon and will forever live in our hearts. Survivors include his wife, Chris of nearly 37 years; daughter, Cara (Andrew) Vowles; grandchildren, Lily, Colewyn, and Everett; mother, Jean Sicotte; brother, Jim Clark; sister, Linda Paton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, George Sicotte.
Memorial service at 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded.
