Thomas J. Keinz, 82, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at Amberwood Care Centre. Born June 4, 1941, in Elgin, IL, the son of Adolf and Verna (Hartung) Keinz. Thomas was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army for 20 years before retiring. He married Mary Meadows on June 22, 1974, in Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved his truck and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, collecting tools, DVDs, and listening to classic rock. Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Mark (Halley Hoffman) Keinz; granddaughter, Stella Grace Keinz; brothers, Bob, Mike, Norm, and Rick; numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. Predeceased by his parents; siblings, Pat, Paul, Dorothy, Kathy, John, and Dorothea; sister-in-law, Trish; and canine companion, Edee.
Memorial military service at 4 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with memorial visitation from 2 p.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded.
