Thomas H. Hoey, 74, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016, in the loving care of his family. Born November 20, 1941, in Harvard, son of Vernon and Marie (Koltz) Hoey. Married the love of his life Pamela J. Crumb on November 12, 1960, in Harvard. He was a perfect husband who was devoted to his marriage and family. He was a shining example of a Husband, Father and Grandfather and served as a role model for all who knew him. He retired as pressroom manager at Rockford Register Star after 38 years of loyal service. Thomas is missed and loved by his son, Jeffrey (Trudy) Hoey; daughter, Kristine (Thomas) Spors; grandchildren, Alexander (Allison) Spors, Jared and Jacob Hoey; brother, Gerald (Midge) Hoey; sisters-in-law, Haroldene Hoey, Candice (Brian) Joern; brothers-in-law, Ted (Darlene) Crumb, Mike (Fern) Crumb; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his best friend and wife, Pamela, and he now joins her in the kingdom of God along with his parents and brother, Ken.
 
 Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Merrill Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd.
