Teresa Friel

Teresa A. Friel, 49, of Rockford passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at home surrounded by family. Born May 8, 1967, in Rockford, the daughter of Joseph J. and Josephine F. (Szuminski) Friel.  Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church.  Retired volunteer from Rockford Health Systems and Growth Enterprises.  Survivors include her mother, Josephine Friel of Loves Park; sisters, Lynne (Robert) Huston of Chicago and Mary Friel of Rockford; brothers, Ned (Nancy) Friel of Rockford and Dan (Nora) Friel of Rockton; niece, Sarah (Danielle) Simpson of Joliet; nephews, Michael Friel of Reading, PA, Robert (Sara) Huston of Chicago and Thomas (Allison) Huston of Los Angeles, CA; great-nephew, Wyatt Huston of Los Angeles.  Predeceased by her father and brothers, Thomas and Nick Friel.

Service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 9, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Private inurnment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Gigi’s Playhouse, Rockford.
