Tammy A. Burnette, 52, of Rockford, IL, was called home Sunday, July 3, 2022. Born November 8, 1969, in Rockford, the daughter of Robert E. and Sharon L. (Middleton) Burnette. Tammy had a servant heart of gold and was always giving. She was a caretaker for both her parents. Tammy loved reading, crossword puzzles, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a cancer survivor. Survivors include her daughter, Shawna (Jared) Tansley of Fort Bragg, NC; son, Chace Scarpetta of Rockford; grandchildren, Malachi Tansley and Scarlett Tansley; father, Robert Burnette; siblings, Terrie Middleton and John (Candy) Rhoades, Jr., both of Rockford, Rhonda Vyborny and Sara (Daniel) Bross, both of Machesney Park, and James (Heather Morrison) Burnette of Loves Park; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Dallas. Predeceased by her mother; and nephew, Dustin Rhoades. The family wishes to thank her nurse, Kelly, of Critical Care Unit, and special thanks to Everett and JoAnn Bross for their love and support.
Memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Breakthrough Church, 415 North Church Street, Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park.
