Suzanne Merwin

Suzanne J. Merwin, 69, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Born February 12, 1947, in Superior, WI., the daughter of Oswald F. and Delores A. (Dalbec) Suoja. Graduating in the first Boylan High School Class of 1965. Married Jerry D. Merwin on February 8, 1991, in Las Vegas, NV. Retired from the States Attorney’s Office. She loved crocheting, crossword puzzles and watching old movies. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; daughter, Deanna (Taylor) Reynolds; sons, Donald Gibson and Jeff (Shari) Merwin; grandchildren, Jeffrey Sievers, Michael Merwin of St. Paul, MN., Tiffani and John Merwin, Elizabeth and Eddie Reynolds; three great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Suoja of Seattle, WA.; sister, Kimberly Suoja of Madison, WI.; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; brother, Donald “Smokey” Suoja; son, Tim Merwin; and best friend, Pat Nuss. The family wishes to thank the ICU nurses at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.

Service at noon Saturday, March 19, 2016, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
