Susan West

Susan J. West, 65, of Loves Park went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 15, 2017, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born July 2, 1951, in Rockford, the daughter of William N. and Sophie I. (Brune) West.  Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1969.  Attended Tennessee Wesleyan College.  Employed by Sundstrand Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 2008.  Member of North Love Baptist Church, their Jolly 60’s and UAW Local 592.  She enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes with friends at church.  Survivors include her sisters, Linda (Bob) Brown and Betty Stewart; niece, Kathleen (Brent) Weckwerth and their children, Raiden and Gareth; nephew, Victor (Cathy Curtis) Stewart; and her most beloved special friend and pet, Mindy.  Predeceased by her parents; and nephew, Bill Stewart.

Service at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Argyle Scottish Cemetery.
