Steven Charles Murr, 70, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, in his home. Born July 6, 1954, in Rockford, IL, the son of Charles and Ella (Crabtree) Murr. Steve graduated from West High School, Class of 1972. He was employed as a supervisor by Hydroline, for over 30 years, retiring in 2017. On June 29, 2013, in a beautiful backyard ceremony, Steve married Diane Anderson. Steve loved spending time with his grandchildren, flying remote-control airplanes, bowling, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include his wife, Diane; children, Chad Murr, Chris (C.J.) Samorian, Chet Murr, Nicki (Todd) Ramsey, Keith (Crystal) Anderson, and Michael (Rachel) Anderson; seven grandchildren, Emmett, Averie, Ethan, Emma, Lucas, Gracie, and Brooklyn; sister, Freida McCombs; brother, Fred Murr; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents.

Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. Burial in White Rock Cemetery will be private.
