Steven Crain

Steven L. Crain, 69, of Loves Park passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in his home.  Born January 1, 1953, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Donald L. and Beverly A. (Niffenegger) Crain.  Steven was a dentist, owning and operating his own practice for many years.  He enjoyed reading, golfing, watching movies, and watching sports, especially the Illini, Bears, Celtics, and Yankees.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Survivors include his sons, Jordan (Simone) Crain, and Corey Crain; grandchildren, Quinlan and Cora; mother, Beverly; sisters, Sandi (Bill) Keller and Sheryl (Mike) Estlund; brother, Don (Sandy) Crain; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Gregor) Keller McBain, Deanna (Steve) Smetana, Kacey Crain, and Joshua Crain.  Predeceased by his father, Donald Crain; great-aunt and -uncle, Paul and Margaret Corey; and grandparents, Roy and Lottie Niffenegger and Gladys and Lee Crain.

Service at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from noon to service time.  Burial in Willwood Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
