Sidney Robinson

Sidney Robinson, 83, of Rockford passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born November 11, 1934, in New Madrid, MO, the son of Joseph and Omie (Parris) Robinson.  Married Kathryn Propes.  They were married 57 years.  Formerly employed by Elco / Camcar Textron for more than 45 years.  Member of Alpine Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed wrestling matches and watching Lightning Games and going out to eat with his friends.  Sidney loved traveling out west, traveling to Bull Shoals, AR, and to the U.P.  Survivors include his wife, Kathy; children, Lisa Robinson, Scott Robinson and Dana (Michael) Descamps; grandchildren, Jennifer Robinson, Nicholas Ackerman, Aubrey Ackerman and Bryce Descamps; sister, Peggy Giovingo; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Don Best, Lori Morehead and Roger Best, Jr.  Predeceased by his parents; many brothers and sisters; and close friend, Roger Best.

Service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from noon to service time. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
