Shirley Moyer

Shirley M. Moyer, 81, of Rockford was called home Monday, September 26, 2016. Born August 12, 1935, in Corning, Ark., the daughter of Walter and Marjorie E. (Booth) Higgs. Married Donald E. Moyer, Sr., on December 13, 1958, in Rockford. Employed by Rockford Products for more than 20 years. She loved going to their retirement home in Dellwood, Wis. Shirley enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, flea markets, working outdoors, long walks, birdwatching and daily sign-ins with her sister-in-law, Marilyn. Survivors include daughter, Charlene (Stan) Parrish; sons, Thomas (Terri) Moyer and Rick Lindstedt; grandchildren, Simon Moyer, Brandy Lindstedt, Tony (Melisa) Alonzo, Ricky Lindstedt, Jeremy Lindstedt and Courtney (Jarred) Bundlie; many great-grandchildren; sister, Nina Watson; stepson, Donald Moyer, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; special pet, Buddy. Predeceased by her husband; one sister; and five brothers.

Service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 1, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to service time.
