Sharon G. Kern, 68, of Rockford, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in her home. Born July 25, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, MO, the daughter of Clarence and Velma (Nelson) Kern. She enjoyed puzzles, sewing, cards, drinking coffee, singing, listening to music, playing with her dogs, watching Ridiculousness on TV, and making people smile. Sharon was a very loving woman with a beautiful smile. Survivors include her daughter, Kristy Bressler; grandchildren, Austin Bressler and Kayla Bressler; siblings, Kay Latham, Donna Eccles, and Danny Kern; niece, Cassie (Adam) Orenday; and canine companions, Emmy, Ozzy, and Nova. Predeceased by her parents.
Service at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022, in First Church of the Nazarene, 4503 Charles Street, Rockford, with visitation from noon to service time. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
