Scott R. Hulett, 64, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Javon Bea Hospital. Born July 17, 1960, in Rockford, the son of Ronald “Ron” and Katy (Gregg) Hulett. Employed by Warner Electric. Scott was a skilled handyman and loved animals. He was the most kindhearted man you will ever know. He fought a courageous battle up to the end and never once complained. Survivors include his son, Blake (Meghan) Hulett; daughter, Shelby (Charlie) Bressler; mother, Katy Gregg; brother, Brian Hulett; sisters, Lisa Russell, Jessica Gregg, and Tina (Matt) Kelly; grandchildren, Hailey Bressler, Austin Hulett, and Ella Hulett; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, his dog, “The Gov”. Predeceased by an infant son, Austin Hulett; his father, Ron; and brother, Doug Hulett.
Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural Street, Rockford, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
