Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Wilson, 78, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in Illinois. Born July 30, 1942, in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of Walter William and DuAnn Gertrude (Ellsbury) Stevens. Lived 25 years in Rockford, coming here from Sevierville, Tennessee. Married David “Dave” R. Wilson on December 29, 1962, in North Aurora, Illinois. Employed in human resources by the University of Illinois School of Medicine. Member of Crosspoint Church. Sandy loved her Lord, her church, and especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She was an avid and vocal Green Bay Packer fan. Sandy enjoyed reading the bible and listening to Southern Gospel Music. Survivors include her husband, Dave; son, Kirby (Jeanine) Wilson of Ham Lake, Minnesota; daughters, Kari (Yoti Boosalis) Swartz of Fremont, Iowa, and Kelli (Todd) Bolen of Santa Clarita, California; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Dennis Stevens; and sister, Karen Stevens. Predeceased by her parents; and grandson, Timothy David Bolen.
Service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2021, in Crosspoint Church, 3215 East State Street, Rockford, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Burial in River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
