Sandra “Sandy” L. (Rasmussen) Barnes, 69, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, after a short illness. Born August 17, 1955, in Richland Center, IL, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Lenore (Elder) Rasmussen. She married Billy Barnes. Employed by Alert Tubing for 47 years. Survivors include her son, Brandon Barnes; mother, Lenore Heyer; sister, Kathy Rasmussen; brother, Mark Rasmussen; beloved Japanese Chin, Bentley; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; lifelong friends, Tammy and Melissa; and many other close friends. Predeceased by her husband, Billy; infant son, Little John; father, Bob; brother, Steve; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
