Sally Medernach

August 31, 1931 — February 1, 2025

Sally A. Medernach, 93, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Willows Health Center. Born August 31, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Richard and Ella (Fruen) Coxhead. She married the love of her life Ramon Medernach on November 11, 1953, in Beloit, WI. Sally was a member of the Rockford Garden Club. She was also a member and published poet of Rockford Writers Guild. Sally was a talented artisan and seamstress. She also enjoyed gardening, especially her beautiful roses. Survivors include her loving son, Matthew (Cathy) Medernach; daughter-in-law, Brenda Medernach; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Ramon; and son, James.

A private family memorial service will be held. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice, 8914 N. Prairie Point, Peoria, IL 61615.
