Ruth Miller

Ruth E. Miller, 83, of Rockford passed away October 22, 2019, in her home. Born April 9, 1936, in Rockford, daughter of Harold and Ida (Schangue) Phillips. Graduated from West High School, Class of 1954. Married Elmer E. Miller on May 26, 1956. Employed in the kitchen at various Rockford Public Schools and Children Daycares. Ruth loved her grandchildren and loved to cook many homemade recipes for her family. She lived most of her life in her family home – it was proudly built by her grandfather and used as the Phillips Greenhouse for many years. Survivors include daughters, Jan Miller and Jackie (Mike) Seehaver; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kerry) Mays, Phillip (Angel) Seehaver; great-grandchildren, Kendra, Emery and Landon. Predeceased by parents; husband; granddaughter, Monica Miller.

Inurnment at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019, in Greenwood Cemetery, 1011 Auburn Street, Rockford. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
