Ruth Johnson

Ruth M. Johnson, 97, of Rockford, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born October 25, 1923, in Lena, the daughter of Clarence and Caroline (Beyer) Swanson. Married John J. Johnson, Jr. on May 29, 1952, in Galena. Employed as a beautician for 40 years. Member of Grace Lutheran Church and the morning crew at Asylum Gym. Survivors include her husband, John; daughter, Vicki (Brad) Warren; son, Gary Johnson; grandchildren, Carrie (Dave) Rancourt, Jeremy (Tiffany) Warren, Lorrie (Kevin) Lipe, Jake (Tasha) Johnson and Jordan (Bellen) Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at a later date. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
