Ruth Eleanor “Mormor” Brynolf, 95, of Loves Park, IL, went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Born February 1, 1929, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Martin and Anna W. (Franzen) Tuftee. She married Ernest E. Brynolf on April 26, 1946, in Rockford. Member of Hope Evangelical Free Church. Ruth enjoyed reading, gardening and golfing. Survivors include her children, Barb Mullendore, Karen (Mike) Turner, Nancy (Tom) Yoeckel, and Daniel (Michelle) Brynolf; daughter-in-law, Kathy Brynolf; grandchildren, Jordan (Pisey) York, Justin (Alia) York, Christina (Justin) O'Haver, David (Rebecca) Collman, Christopher (Nicole) Brynolf, Zachary (Ivy) Brynolf, Gary (Teresa) Mullendore, Alta Mullendore, Rachel Mullendore, Brooke (Robert) Martin, Heidi (Bryan) Gavin, Aaron (Miranda) Keip, Adam (Melissa) Keip, Andrew (Sharlett) Keip, Jenna (Aaron) Traum, and Jami (Caleb) Giebink; 27 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Robert Brynolf; daughters, Susan York, and Sandra Collman; grandson, Jonathan Brynolf; and granddaughter, Patricia Turner; brothers, Raymond and Edward Tuftee. The family wishes to thank the staff at Fair Oaks Rehab and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion.
Service at 11 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2024, at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 5656 Elevator Road, Roscoe, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
