Rulen J. Wigtion

Rulen “Bud” J. Wigtion, 79, of Rockford, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Born December 9, 1943, in Manila, AR, the son of Lacy and Aline (Lambert) Wigtion. He attended Jefferson High School. Married Marie Davidson on May 29, 1961, in Dubuque, IA. He was a manager at many local restaurants. Attended Rock Church. Bud enjoyed spending time with family, yard work, cooking, and relaxing on the deck. He loved western and fast action shows. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marie; grandchildren, Christopher (Debbie) Wigtion, Trista (Brandon) Christian, Justin (Audrey) Wigtion, Angela Martinez, Derek (Nicole) Wigtion, and Brandon Wigtion; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Vicki Wigtion; sister-in-law, Gladys Wigtion; several nieces and nephews; and loving fur baby, Chloe. Predeceased by his parents; sons, Ricky Wigtion and Rulen Wigtion; and brother, Harold Wigtion. The family wishes to thank Serenity Hospice for their love and compassion.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
