Rose M. Triplett, 97, of Machesney Park departed this life on Monday, June 27, 2022. She passed peacefully at home. Born June 4, 1925, in Galena, IL, the daughter of Wilton and Ethel (Tressillian) Bartell. Married Pete E. Triplett on April 19, 1946, in Galena. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and especially going antiquing. She was an avid bowler and especially was proud of being awarded a trophy for picking up the 8 – 10 split. She also enjoyed interior decorating and cake decorating. She made many birthday cakes for her grandchildren and wedding and special occasion cakes for family and friends. She was a volunteer at Rockford Memorial Hospital for many years. Her life centered around her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Colleen Argyle of Machesney Park; grandchildren, Amy (Dan) Smith and Matt Argyle, both of Loves Park; great-grandchildren, Christian Smith, Carter Argyle and Leah Argyle; great-great-grandchild, Paisley Rose Smith; sister-in-law, Freida Triplett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; brothers, Wilton “Bates” Jr., Lyle, Robert, and John; sisters, Marguerite “Peg” Heim, Ethel Arand, Lucy Johnson, Blanche Bartell, Betty Duncan, and Dorothy Ramsey. Special thanks to David and Sandy Lower, Ron Coffman, Sharon Williams, Linda Schuepbach, and Gale Sword. Our family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice, CNA Paige, and nurse Pam.

Memorial mass at noon Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with memorial visitation from 11 a.m. to service time. Inurnment in Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park, IL.
