Ronald "Ron" Troller

Ronald “Ron” David Troller, 69, of Manitowish Waters, WI, formerly of Caledonia, IL, passed away September 22, 2021, at Howard Young Medical Center in Minocqua, WI, after a sudden illness.  Ron was born August 27, 1952, in Rockford, IL, the son of Donald A. and Beverle J. (Raymond) Troller.  He graduated from Harlem High School.  Employed as a Kitchen and Bath designer for KDA and was owner of Troller Cabinet Co.  Ron was also an outstanding woodworker and loved refurbishing antiques in his “Mancave”.  He married Christine Loveland on January 12, 1974, together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage.  They were best friends and truly enjoyed retirement with their wonderful friends in Manitowish Waters.  The entire town of MW supported Ron in his final days struggling with his illness.  Their love for him is amazing and he will be missed by his dancing partners at Music in the Park, his trap shooting buddies, and the Sno-Skeeter snowmobile club.  Ron was a friend to all who knew him, he made the world a better place with his smile, humor, and love of life.  He had a wonderful relationship with nieces, Lauryn and Leah, who held a very special place in his heart.  They meant the world to him and gave him so much joy.  Survivors include his wife, Christine “Chris”; sisters, Wendy (Mike) Hamilton, and Karen Swinney; several nieces and nephews; great-nephew, Parker; his loving cat, Dewey.  Predeceased by his parents; and sister, Barbara Campbell.  Special thanks to the caring staff, especially the Angel Nurses who cared for Ron at Howard Young Medical Center.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park.  Burial in Argyle Scottish Cemetery, Caledonia, IL.  Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.  A Celebration of Life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 3021, at Ye Olde Shillelagh in Manitowish Waters, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to North Boone High School, 17823 Poplar Grove Road, Poplar Grove, IL 61065.
