Ronald Ashcraft

Ronald L. Ashcraft “Scruffdog”, 58, of Rockford was called home Friday, December 18, 2020, surrounded by his family in his residence. Born July 23, 1962, in Rockford, the son of Leon and Rochelle Ashcraft. Graduated from Belvidere High School, Class of 1980. Married AnnaMaria Laudicina on December 21, 1991, in Rockford. Employed by Rockford Products for 12 years. Member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Plug & Pellet Club. Avid NASCAR fan. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, was a grill master and a giving and generous person. Everyone was his friend. He left many heart prints on everyone he met. Survivors include his wife, AnnaMaria; sisters, Linda (Doug) Margerum and Connie (Jessie) Tate; mother-in-law, Virginia Laudicina; many nieces and nephews; and loving fur babies, Samson and Diliah. Predeceased by his parents; stepfather, Eugene Tharp; grandmother, Marcella Tharp; brother, Ray Ashcraft; and sister, Terry Ashcraft.

Walk through visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Social distancing and face coverings required. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
