Rodney E. Pribbenow, 71, of Rockford passed away peacefully, at home, with family by his side, Friday, May 6, 2016. Born November 21, 1944, in Portage, WI, the son of Bernard and June (Karow) Pribbenow. Married Lanette M. Doser on April 5, 1973, in Las Vegas, NE. Previously was a police officer in Madison, WI. Owned and operated Pribby’s Bar in Rockford for 28 years and also did commercial embroidery part-time, retiring in 2003. Avid Chicago Cub and Bear fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, gardening, yard work and animals. Rod loved taking drives out west. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Lanette; daughter, Marie (Joel) Jacobs of Virginia and her children, David (Chelsea) Moroney and Troy (Rainy) Moroney, both of Loves Park; special great-granddaughters, Rilyn, Ellena, Olivia; son, Craig (Lori) Pribbenow; daughter, Natalie (Scott) Megow and their eight children all of Wisconsin; sister, Bonnie (Dale) Pribbenow-Paddock; brothers, Randy (Deb) and Jeffrey (Bev), Bernell and Kevin (Julie) Pribbenow; in-laws, Mary Meyer, Deanna (Clarence Bennett) Birkett, Paul Doser, Bernadette (Bear Theill) Myers, Ron (Sharon) Doser, Modesta (Leroy) Alt, Tim Doser, Teresa (Pat) Wagner, Judy (Bob) Krohmer; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Dale Paddock; Dr. James Woodman; and Father DiTomo. Predeceased by parents; brother-in-law, Erv Pribbenow. Special thanks to Heartland Hospice and caregivers on the 10th floor at SwedishAmerican Hospital.
 
 Memorial service at noon Wednesday, May 11, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Inurnment in Otsego Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
