Rodney "Rod" Gulbrantson

Rodney "Rod" K. Gulbrantson, 61, of Rockford was called home Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at his residence. Born June 12, 1959, in Rockford, the son of Harold R. and Helen E. (Richey) Gulbrantson. Graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1977. Member of SM & SF Club and Eagles Club. Diehard NASCAR fan. Avid Chicago Bear and Cubs fan. Rod enjoyed camping and riding his Harley. He loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his loving companion, Jeanette and her children, Michelle, Angela (Mike) and Danielle (Gary); his son, Rodney "Keith" (Samantha Parlow) Gulbrantson; grandchildren, Jenna, Haley, Brittany, Nathan, Abigail and Joseph; brother, Rick (Fiona) Gulbrantson of Little Rock, Arkansas; best friend who was like a brother, Al (Tina) Andrews; very special friend, Bill Akre; and uncle, Charles (Onida) Ellison. Predeceased by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Gulbrantson; and special pet, CoCoa. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their loving care.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2020, at SM & SF Park, 7625 Kishwaukee Road, Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
