Robert "Bob" White

Robert “Bob” N. White, 60, of Rockford was called home Friday, December 24, 2021.  Born May 29, 1961, in Elmhurst, the son of Joseph and Mary (Overstreet) White.  Graduated from Belvidere High School, Class of 1979.  Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.  Married Deborah “Debbie” J. Hinde on October 18, 1997, in Rockford.  Formerly employed by Groot Industries, formerly BFI, retired in 2021, after 31 years.  Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening, writing political poems, camping, cave exploring and traveling.  Survivors include his wife, Debbie; son, Travis (Cindy) Hinde of Seward; grandchildren, Justin (Megan) Hinde, Jacob (Alyssa) Hinde, Noah Hinde, and Sarah Hinde; great-grandson, Dawson; brothers, Joseph (Kiyomi) White of Okinawa, Japan, Edward White of Elbert, CO, and Michael (Julie) White of Belvidere; sister, Mary Jo (Steve) Thurow of Garden Prairie; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents and son, Michael Hinde.  The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their love and compassion.

Service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time.  Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
