Robert “Bob” L. Sturm, 69, of Kingston, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020. Born June 8, 1951, in Elgin. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Married to Lori Rosser for 45 years. Owned and operated Robert Sturm Construction. Bob’s life was dedicated to daily running the family farm and care of the family horses. He will forever be remembered as the echoes of his colorful expletives continue to be heard as testament of his misadventures in farming. Survivors include his wife, Lori; children, Shane (Firdaus) Sturm, Ryan Sturm, and Portia (Jose) Santiago; grandchildren, Alexandria Santiago, Angelina Santiago, Joseph Santiago, Inaaya Sturm, Anthony Santiago, and Amara Santiago; father-in-law, Norm Rosser; canine companion, Benelli and Remington; and his horse, Ozzy. Predeceased by his parents and mother-in-law, Evelyn Rosser.
Graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2020, in Belvidere Cemetery, 1121 North Main Street, Belvidere. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday October 1, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with social distancing and face coverings required. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for assistance.
