Robert Hamm, Ii

Robert E. “Bob Popps” Hamm, II, 66, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in his home. Born December 30, 1950, in Binghamton, NY, the son of Erwin and Jeannie (Baker) Hamm.  Six year veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.  Married Debra Phillips on July 25, 1997, in Rockford.  Employed by Custom Feeder.  He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, spending time with his grandchildren, avid motorcycle enthusiast, animals and especially horseback riding.  He was a big NASCAR fan and a fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.  Survivors include his wife, Debra; his children, Robert “Bob” E. Hamm, Jr., Cathy (Ben) Blair and Bryan (Ellie) Hamm; grandsons, Nathaniel Blair, Jared Blair and Christopher Hamm; father, Col. Erwin C. Hamm; brother, Richard (Kathy) Hamm of Tennessee.  Predeceased by his mother.

Memorial visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 10, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
