Robert "Rob" Gentry

Robert “Rob” J. Gentry, 50, of Machesney Park passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, in his home, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born October 13, 1966, in Rockford, the son of Jim and Linda (Bressler) Gentry. Married Shelley Heidenreich on August 4, 1989, in Rockford. Graduated from Harlem High School in 1984, and Illinois State in 1991. Rob acquired his real estate appraiser license. He loved playing cards, going on ocean cruises and was a computer whiz. Survivors include wife, Shelley; parents, Jim and Linda; sister, Brenda (Rick) Bartscher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Rob’s request, a celebration of life will be at a later date. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
