Robert "Bob" White

Robert “Bob” E. White, 69, of Rockton passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, in his home surrounded by family, after a long illness.  Born August 30, 1951, in Rockford, the son of James B. and Angie (Fishel) White.  Graduated from West High School, Class of 1970.  Veteran of the U.S. Army.  Married Karen M. Springer on February 17, 1979, in Rockford.  Employed by Ingersoll Milling Machine for more than 20 years and retired from Cotta Transmission in 2015.  Member of Rock Run Long Rifles.  Bob enjoyed woodworking, target shooting, horseback riding, yard work, and attending the Bristol Renaissance Fair.  Survivors include his wife, Karen; daughter, Shannon (Jason) Latham and Heather (Patrick) Anderson; sons, Ken White, and Hank (Roxanne) White; grandchildren, Tyler (Kelly) Anderson, Robby Anderson, Eli White, Branden Moe, Haven White, Spencer White, and Riley White; mother, Angie White; sister, Lori Sabin; brothers, Jim (Cindy) White and Jay (Debbie) White; numerous nieces and nephews; his favorite four-legged “children”, Snuffy and Tempi.  Predeceased by his father and brother, Kenneth White.  The family wishes to thank Northern Illinois Hospice for the loving and compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 15341 South Bluff Road, South Beloit, IL 61080.  Cremation rites accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wounded Warriors, Guiding Eyes for the Blind or Lung Cancer Research.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
