Robert “Bob” W. Adams, Jr., 71, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, December 18, 2020, in his home. Born December 1, 1949, in Rockford, the son of Robert W. and Janet (Buffington) Adams, Sr. Married Marie Wells; they enjoyed 42 years together. Employed by Chrysler as a robotic repairman and programmer for 26 years. Member of IBEW Local 364 for over 50 years and UAW Local 1268 for over 25 years. Bob loved Harleys, classic cars, and his dog. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his computer, reading, and learning. Bob enjoyed reading the Bible having read it several times through. Survivors include his wife, Marie; children, Curt Adams, Rebecca (Justin) Henderson, Gary (Jaime) Adams, and Michelle Cline; several grandchildren; mother, Janet Adams; best friend, Steve Wirebaugh; and canine companion, Baxter. Predeceased by his father; and grandson, Ryan Adams.

Walk through visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Social distancing and face coverings required. Private family services to follow. Burial in Rockton Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Judes.
