Rickard Morris Gibson

Rickard Morris Gibson, 65, of Bridgeview, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Midway Neurological & Rehab in Bridgeview, IL. He was born on Thursday, March 16, 1961, in Rockford, IL, the son of Gibson and Barbara Jo (Thompson) Gibson. Retired as a supervisor employed by the Village of Roscoe. He enjoyed fishing and any type of racing. Rickard was a crew chief on go-karts for both of his sons. Survivors include his sons, Mitchell W. (Dawn Saunders) Gibson and Kyle G. (Ann) Gibson; grandson Parker G. Gibson; stepmother, Shirley A. Gibson; and sisters, Michelle A. Gibson and Melissa L. (Terry) Adkins; nieces, Rachel, Ellen, Emily, and Anna Brett. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Brett Gibson; and nephew, Noah Thomas Adkins.

Graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2026, in Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
