Richard Stewart

Richard F. Stewart, 87, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, July 14, 2017, in his home. Born May 18, 1930, in Rockford, the son of Martin L. and Felicia R. (Lofquest) Stewart.  Married Dona J. Schreiner on January 15, 1952.  Employed as a painter for many years and formerly at Schreiner Hardware Store.  Former member of New Hope Baptist Church and 1st Baptist Church of Rockford.  Member of the Coon and Fox Hunters Club.  Survivors include daughter, Renee (Dan) Prince; grandchildren, Cindy Eterno, Tim (Lisa) Cockrum and Jeremy (Jocelyn) Cockrum; several great and great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia L. Stewart and Laura (Gary) Young; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his wife, parents and brother, Charles Stewart. Visitation Noon to 1:30 Monday, July 17, 2017 in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.

Graveside service at 2:15 p.m. Monday, July 17, in Willwood Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
