Richard Goble, Sr.

Richard E. Goble, Sr., 76, of Machesney Park passed away Monday, February 12, 2018. Born September 23, 1941, in Compton, the son of James and Ida (Overwright) Goble.  Married Joan M. Bone on Saturday, July 7, 1962, in Rockford.  Employed by Bourn & Koch.  Worked in the machine and textile tool industry since 1968.  Former member of North Park Fire Department.  He loved to travel, going on road trips and on drives.  Survivors include his son, Richard (Altovise) Goble, II; grand-dog, Isabella “Izzy” Marie; brothers, Ken (Sandy) Goble and Jim Goble; nieces, Jennifer Morrow, Jessica Lynn Goble and Roxanna Goble; nephew, James Morrow.  Predeceased by his wife; sister, Carol McCandless; and brother, Don Goble.

Service at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 17, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 2 p.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Casual dress encouraged.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for the Alzheimer’s Association.
