Richard “Rick” S. Jenkins, 55, of Roscoe, IL, entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 19, 2024. Born June 20, 1969, in Rockford, IL, the son of Melvin D. and Susan R. (Kilmer) Jenkins. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1987. Owned and operated Rick Jenkins Construction for more than 25 years. Rick enjoyed fishing on the Rock River, golfing, boating, snowmobiling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Avid Minnesota Viking fan. His grandson, Braxton, was his best buddy and his granddaughter, Arianna, was the prettiest girl in the whole world. Survivors include his daughter, Brittany (Chad) Stupec of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Braxton and Ariana; mother, Susan Jenkins; sisters, Debby (Al) Snyder, Terry (Ev) Peterson; nephew, Aaron (Brandi Buss) Snyder and their son, Cain; niece, Alex Peterson; and former wife, Tina Jenkins. Predeceased by his father.

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
