Randall Scott

August 23, 1951 — February 19, 2025

Randall David Scott, age 73, of Chetek, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025.  Born on August 23, 1951, in Rockford, Illinois, to Robert and Sophie Scott.  He is survived by two sisters, Rita Butterfield and Roberta Corin; his brother, Rex Scott; and his son, Caden Scott.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sophie Scott; and his son, Ryan Scott.  Randy was one of a kind, he was enamored with living life to its fullest.  If you knew Randy, you certainly knew his motto, “if you don’t go, you don’t know”.  He was a wonderfully unique individual that blessed the lives of those around him.  He sought out adventure wherever he could find it, whether it was driving through the Beartooth in Yellowstone or chasing bonefish with a fly rod on the flats of Mexico.  He had a deep passion for the outdoors and was a true sportsman at heart.  In his later years, he moved to Chetek, Wisconsin.  He loved spending time at the VFW and conversing with his fellow patrons over an ice-cold Miller Highlife.  He had a deep love for his sons and was overjoyed he could share his passion for fly fishing and hunting with lifelong friends (thank you Dave and Rick).  He was the proprietor of Food Equipment Liquidators, a local business servicing the Rockford area for over 40 years.

A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, Illinois.  He will be dearly missed.
