Ralph "R.J." Belcher

Ralph “R.J.” James Belcher, 86, of Rockford passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, in his home.  Born November 5, 1935, in Kegley, West Virginia, the son of Luther and Lucy (Davis) Belcher.  Married Rosa Thompson on August 3, 1953, in Pearisburg, Virginia.  Employed by Barber-Colman.  He was a Mr. Fix It, loved fixing up cars and keeping the house in order.  Survivors include his wife, Rosa; son, Ron (Kathy) Belcher; daughters, Shelly (Darrell) Cook and Arlene Hill; grandchildren, Ryan (Lindsey) Hill, Stacey (Jim) Schultz, and Magan (Tim) Vernon; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Stanley (Brenda) Belcher and Randy (Nancy) Belcher; sister, Dorothy Mills.  Predeceased by his parents.

Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.  Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
