Phyllis Pond-Rice

Phyllis Ann (Addington) Pond-Rice, 77, of Machesney Park, passed away at 8:10 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, in Swedish American Hospital. Born April 17, 1939, in Camden-on-Gauley, WV, the daughter of Vernon and Laura (McCourt) Addington. Employed as a hairdresser for many years. Survivors include sons, Brian Pond and Brad (Tami) Pond; sisters, Jean Hirth and Dora (Raymond) Nyen; brother, Roger (Kim) Addington; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special pet, P. J.; and former husband, Carlos Pond. Predeceased by her parents; husband, LeRoy Rice; and brother, Rodney Addington. Special thank you to niece, Andrea Bergman.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, in the funeral home.
