Philna Miller

Philna E. Miller, 93, of Rockford passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, in Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center.  Born February 23, 1924, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Frederick Phillip and Edna (Schroeder) Jacobi.  Formerly married to Richard A. Miller.  Employed as a teacher by the Rockford Public Schools since 1958, as well as a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma honor society for female educators.  Member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.  Survivors include sons, Fred (Marlene) and Brice (Lisa); four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by parents and brother, Fred Jacobi.

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 10, in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
