Pearl “Loree” Bailey, 85, of Rockford passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. Born August 1, 1931, in Cherry Valley, daughter of Joseph and Elva (Kint) Mace. Married Bill Bailey on February 12, 1955. Formerly employed by National Lock Co. and G. Gordon Flowers. Loree was an avid bingo player and enjoyed knitting. Survivors include her sisters, Sheryl Preiss and Joetta Wyatt; sister-in-law, Marcella Mace; nieces and nephews, Connie (Dick) Dowling, Terry (Cindy) Mace, Ron (Patsy) and Steve Preiss, Susan Binger, Kathy (Tom) Mammel, Nancy (Jim) Tipton, Bruce (Sarah) and Brian Wyatt and Michelle (David) Meyer; numerous great-nieces, -nephews and special cousins; best friend of over 60 years, Jane Fulton; and special friend, Lee (Ida) Sanderson-Eads and Grandma "B" to Bailey and Carter Sanderson-Eads. Predeceased by her husband; sons, Joseph and James; sister, Veon Severinghaus; and brothers, Norland and Gaylon Mace.
Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, in Bethany Presbyterian Church, 5403 N. 2nd Street, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time in the church. Burial in Shirland Cemetery. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
