Patti L. Smith, 77, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. She was born on May 5, 1948, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of George and Shirley (Howard) Wolf. Graduated from West High School, Class of 1966. She married Donald L. Smith on February 8, 1991, in Las Vegas, NV. Employed by Amcore Bank for more than 20 years. Patti loved cross stitching and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Donald; sons, Michael Emmerling of Cape Coral, FL, and Thomas Emmerling of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Merek, and Ivy Emmerling; several nieces and nephews; and loving pet, Dolly. Predeceased by her parents; and sister, Georgia Wolf.
A memorial visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. Cremation rites accorded.
