Patrick “Pat” Gerard Delehanty, 69, of Byron, IL, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, in his home. Born December 10, 1952, in Rockford, IL, the son of Francis E. and Loretta A. (Henderscheid) Delehanty. Married Bernadette Kuss. Employed for many years building homes. Pat enjoyed golfing, Bears, White Sox, Illinois College Sports, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Bernadette; sons, Patrick Delehanty, and Matthew (Caitlyn) Delehanty; grandchildren, Miles, Daley, and Graham; brothers, Jim (Mary) Delehanty and Gene Delehanty; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; sister, Rita Crabtree; and brothers, Michael, John, and Kevin Delehanty.
Memorial service at noon Friday, October 21, 2022, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with memorial visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. A celebration of life will follow at 1 p.m. at the White Eagle Club, 235 15th Ave., Rockford, IL. Cremation rites accorded.
